Medical Assistant - Retina Specialty

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our Retina specialty practice. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our physicians in delivering high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate patient evaluations and accurately document patient information in compliance with guidelines.
  • Perform pre-exam testing, including visual acuity assessments, tonometry, and other patient services as requested by the physician.
  • Set up for procedures, including intravitreal injections, and document essential information in the E.H.R.
  • Clean surgical instruments in preparation for sterile processing.
  • Conduct inventory of instrument supplies and assist with maintenance of clinical exam equipment.
  • Order clinical supplies as needed.
  • Open and close exam and injection rooms.
  • Assist with photography if trained to do so.

Schedule/Shift:
  • M-F 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break.
  • Start times between 7:50 AM with flexibility required for emergency patients and surgeries.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as an ophthalmic technician is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
