Key Responsibilities:
As a Technician, you will play a crucial role in our patients' journey. Your responsibilities will include:
- Initiating patient evaluations and accurately documenting the chief complaint, history of present illness, review of systems, past surgeries, medications, and pertinent ocular findings in compliance with guidelines.
- Performing pre-exam testing, including visual acuity assessments, tonometry, pupillary dilation, and other patient services as requested by the physician.
- Setting up for procedures, including intravitreal injections, which requires pulling the drug and documenting essential information (lot number, expiration date, etc.) in the E.H.R.
- Cleaning surgical instruments in preparation for sterile processing.
- Conducting inventory of instrument supplies as directed and assisting with maintenance of clinical exam equipment.
- Ordering clinical supplies as needed.
- Opening and closing exam and injection rooms.
- Assisting with photography if trained to do so.
- M-F 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break.
- Start times between 7:50 AM with flexibility required for emergency patients and surgeries.
