Ophthalmic Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our dedicated Retina specialty practice at Medix. If you are passionate about patient care and eager to work in a supportive environment, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Initiating patient evaluations and accurately documenting the chief complaint, history of present illness, review of systems, past surgeries, medications, and pertinent ocular findings in compliance with guidelines.
• Performing pre-exam testing, including visual acuity assessments, tonometry, pupillary dilation, and other patient services as requested by the physician.
• Setting up for procedures, including intravitreal injections, which requires pulling the drug and documenting essential information (lot number, expiration date, etc.)
• Cleaning surgical instruments in preparation for sterile processing.
• Conducting inventory of instrument supplies as directed and assisting with maintenance of clinical exam equipment.

Work Schedule:

M-F 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break. Start times between 7:50 AM with flexibility required for emergency patients and surgeries.
