Job Title: Cloud Systems Administrator Sr

This is a remote job opportunity to support the US Airforce (USAF) with a requirement for an active Secret Clearance.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Systems Administrator Sr to lead the implementation and testing of highly scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure and related cloud services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and implement configurations to meet program and customer needs, collaborating with cross-functional teams for the deployment and enhancement of cloud services.
  • Provide oversight and consultation on various cloud strategies and serve as a lead on cloud projects.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in cloud solutions and services, providing advanced technical and engineering support for internal groups and customers.
  • Formulate detailed network, storage, and compute design specifications for stable and secure computing operations in a dynamic cloud environment.
  • Develop cloud service strategies, including Identity and Access Management, Security Groups, and CSP native services.
  • Participate in migration planning and lead efforts related to infrastructure deployments.
  • Train teams on software engineering methodologies, such as Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Integration and Delivery, Architecture Reviews, etc., to ensure standardization of cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with internal and external parties to transform high-level technical objectives into comprehensive technical requirements.
  • Validate operational requirements with project teams, management, and client services groups for deployment and ongoing support.
  • Approve and refine documentation for best practices related to server infrastructure and cloud computing operational experience.
  • Provide technical assessment of requirements and definition from conception through implementation.
  • Assist with identifying and planning potential new cloud services, features, and capabilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Professional-level cloud certification/s in either AWS, Microsoft Azure, OCI, Google Cloud.
  • Architect-level certification a plus.
  • 12+ years of IT experience with a combination of:
  • 5+ years of cloud engineering experience, working with one or more vendor platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience debugging Microsoft Windows or Linux-based operating systems in an administrative/support/engineering capacity.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Candidates must possess a Secret security clearance.
Preferred Skills
  • Expert knowledge of Identity Access Management and Shared Security responsibilities.
  • Ability to implement backup and/or storage infrastructure with cloud environments.
  • SME-level knowledge of cloud accounts and infrastructure.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Expert problem-solving in the areas of storage, backups, server operating systems, and networks.
  • Expert knowledge of cloud service providers.
  • Skilled in various scripting languages.
  • Utilize expertise to QA and approve team documentation.
  • Outstanding communication, project, and priority management, and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of information life-cycle management concepts and best practices.
