Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Department Supervisor - Prepared Foods to join our team at Whole Foods Market.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and Delegate Tasks: Lead and supervise a team of Prepared Foods team members, delegating tasks and responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
- Training and Development: Work with the Prepared Foods Trainer to develop and implement training programs that build a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
- Team Member Support: Provide support to new team members, utilizing learning checklists and training materials to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Department Maintenance: Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated department, ensuring all cases and shelves are tidy and organized.
- Opening and Closing Procedures: Follow established procedures for opening and closing the department, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Team Communication: Foster open communication among team members, addressing concerns and promoting a positive work environment.
- Customer Satisfaction: Maintain awareness of customer flows and needs, directing team members to provide exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
- Performance Evaluations: Conduct thorough and timely performance evaluations, providing feedback and coaching to team members to improve performance.
- Leadership and Communication: Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, consistently communicating and modeling Whole Foods Market's vision and goals.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Leadership Experience: 12+ months of retail experience with leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications.
Working Conditions
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
