Job Summary

The Global Education and Research: Unleashing Potential (GEAR:UP) initiative at Harvard University's Center for International Development (CID) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to support financial, programmatic, and research administration. The successful candidate will work closely with counterparts across Harvard University and collaborators to implement research and grant management strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with grant applications and reporting, including drafting, editing, and proofreading research proposals and reports.
  • Draft written research and policy outputs, such as presentations, reports, policy briefs, and communications pieces.
  • Identify and research donors and funding sources, including formal calls for proposals, private foundations, and international organizations.
  • Coordinate and attend meetings with CID Faculty Affiliates and external policy stakeholders, including scheduling calls, taking notes, and maintaining long-term relationships.
  • Plan and execute events, including communicating with guests, reserving rooms, ordering catering, and managing logistics.
  • Develop IRB and data security protocols, including drafting IRB protocols and supporting the process for data use and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Maintain the GEAR:UP and CID websites, including posting new content and updating team members' pages.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of professional experience in program coordination and/or executive administration.
  • Demonstrated prior experience providing high-level administrative support and complex project/program coordination responsibilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience interfacing with various stakeholders, including faculty, students, external stakeholders, and other CID staff.
  • Experience running events and online webinars, using Zoom and other software.
  • Knowledge of second languages, particularly Spanish, French, Arabic, or Urdu, is a plus.
