Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement high-quality lesson plans that align with the Head Start Performance Standards and promote school readiness for children.
  • Utilize assessment systems to track children's developmental progress and make data-driven decisions to improve classroom practice.
  • Provide positive guidance and support to children, promoting social-emotional development and well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to build effective teams and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of children's progress, attendance, and meal counts.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices and stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Valid Oklahoma State Teaching Certification for children birth to eight.
  • At least 36 college credits in Early Childhood, Child Development, or Early Childhood Special Education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, families, and community partners.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, with regular and reliable attendance required.
