Proposal Content Developer

We are seeking a skilled Proposal Writer to join our team at DRC Emergency Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing compelling and concise proposals to support our company's pursuits for federal, state, and local contracts.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and write high-quality proposal content, including technical writing, editing, and tailoring.
- Update content libraries consistently and thoroughly to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Conduct research to stay up-to-date on proposal-specific concepts and requirements.
- Participate in proposal kickoff and status meetings to ensure timely and effective proposal development.
- Evaluate feedback from review teams and address comments to ensure proposal excellence.
- Interview subject matter experts to develop proposal-specific content and project descriptions.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the proposal writing team.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Communications, English, Technical Writing, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of proposal writing experience, with a strong track record of developing winning proposals.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to stay up-to-date on industry trends and requirements.
- 3-5 years of technical writing experience, with a focus on disaster response, emergency management, and logistics.
- Knowledge of FEMA, DHS, DoD/Federal, or state and/or local agency requirements and regulations.
- Experience working with and managing Microsoft SharePoint sites, including content management and collaboration.
- Experience with editing Adobe PDF documents and Adobe Creative Cloud products, including InDesign.
- APMP-Foundations or PMP certification, or willingness to obtain certification.
- Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.
- Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.
- Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying.
