  • Event Execution: Execute production and plating during main meals for events, establishing priorities and assigning tasks to the banquet kitchen staff.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with staff, providing clear direction and ensuring seamless event execution.
  • Inventory Management: Take physical inventory of specified food items for daily inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels.
  • Special Events: Successfully run the venue's catering with banquets, parties, and other special events in the Head Chef's absence.
  • Menu Development: Assist the Head Chef in banquet menu development and execution.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain all equipment in a proper operational condition, ensuring efficient food preparation and service.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Oversee the regular cleaning of all equipment used in the banquet kitchen, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Staff Development: Identify the developmental needs of kitchen staff, providing coaching and mentoring to improve their knowledge and skills.
  • Culinary Excellence: Continuously enhance the culinary experience of banquet or event guests, ensuring exceptional quality and service.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Banquet Chef or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and service.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
