About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at People Incorporated. As a Mental Health Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing mental health services and support to individuals living in our Customized Living programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively engage with residents in their daily activities, developing positive relationships that support the client in meeting their goals.
  • Provide intervention and de-escalation for clients experiencing mental health symptoms.
  • Document observable behaviors and symptoms.
  • Participate with residents during in-house and community activities.
  • Coach residents on independent living skills and coping mechanisms.
  • Safely administer medications and offer coaching on medication management.
  • Serve meals and complete general housekeeping.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license, excellent driving record, and current auto insurance.
  • Preferred qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or human services, and previous experience working with individuals with serious and persistent mental illness, chemical dependency, developmental disabilities, and/or other health conditions that impact mental health.
