Overview: The Clinical Support Specialist plays a vital role in facilitating patient interactions, managing clinical schedules, overseeing inventory, and ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations.

Facility Readiness

  • Conduct daily inspections of patient areas for cleanliness and adequate supplies
  • Maintain Cryo storage units

Patient Engagement

  • Guide patients to examination areas and assist during medical procedures
  • Address patient inquiries and sanitize rooms between appointments
  • Prepare procedure areas and provide instructions for wound care
  • Manage pathology samples and laboratory requests

Operational Duties

  • Transport and sterilize instruments, oversee medical supplies, and organize the clinical workspace
  • Monitor rooms for supply levels and dispose of outdated medications

Additional Responsibilities

  • Communicate test results to patients
  • Return patient calls, manage prescription refills, and perform various administrative functions
  • Exhibit professionalism towards patients and colleagues
