Job Title: Professional Development Manager - Cardiac Medicine/Surgery

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Professional Development Manager to join our team in Cardiac Medicine/Surgery. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing programs for staff development, education, research, quality, and evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Nurse Directors in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery to develop and implement programs that enhance staff competency and patient care.
  • Lead the development and implementation of training programs for nursing staff, focusing on specialty proficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with inter-professional teams to design and evaluate programs that promote quality and safety in patient care.
  • Develop and maintain policies and guidelines related to nursing practice, education, and research.
  • Participate in hospital surveys and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • MSN or MS with a major in Nursing, or DNP or PhD with a major in Nursing, or a BSN with a Master's degree in a related field.
  • 5 years or greater of Cardiovascular/Vascular nursing experience.
  • Expertise in evidence-based practice, writing, research, and practice development.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with the BWH professional community at large.
Working Conditions:
  • Nights and weekends may be required.
  • Works in office and patient care environments that require teamwork and cooperation.
