Job Summary

Mungo Homes is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Builder in the Charlotte, NC market. This is a key role that requires strong leadership and coordination skills to ensure the successful execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule Management: Maintain a schedule for each building project, adhering to designated start dates and ensuring timely completion.
  • Collaboration and Problem-Solving: Work closely with Purchasing, Estimating, Quality, Production Management, and Land Development teams to resolve issues and coordinate activities.
  • Cost Control and Budgeting: Evaluate project costs, maintain budgets, and process POs, VPOs, and back charges, communicating variances to designated contacts.
  • Quality Assurance and Safety: Inspect work progress and construction sites to ensure compliance with safety, construction, and performance standards.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Complete inspections, paperwork, and daily reporting requirements, maintaining accurate records and field ledgers.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with Production team members, customers, clients, and trade partners, providing feedback and monitoring work performance.
  • Meetings and Communication: Attend scheduled meetings and provide feedback on work processes and procedures for improvement.
  • Material and Delivery Management: Report material and delivery issues to Production Management, Drafting, Estimating, and Purchasing.
  • Professional Development: Obtain and maintain state building licenses, pursue continuing education, and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred, or one to two years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and KOVA software preferred.
  • Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Valid state driver's license in good standing and minimum state required automobile insurance.
