Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor in Ethnic Studies to join our faculty pool at College of the Canyons. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will have the opportunity to teach a variety of courses in Ethnic Studies, including introductory and advanced courses, and contribute to the development of our curriculum.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in Ethnic Studies, including introductory and advanced courses
  • Develop and implement curriculum for Ethnic Studies courses
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide committees and activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement departmental and college-wide initiatives
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Ethnic Studies or a related field
  • Experience teaching courses in Ethnic Studies
  • Strong knowledge of Ethnic Studies curriculum and pedagogy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Ethnic Studies or a related field
  • Experience teaching courses in a community college setting
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
  • Strong commitment to social justice and equity
