Job Title: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Waukesha County. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitor patient responses.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to provide comprehensive care and support.
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans for clients in Community Support Programs.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families on mental health topics and treatment options.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of patient care and treatment.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from a recognized registered nursing education program.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Wisconsin.
  • Temporary State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse permit and attainment of the Registered Nurse license within 6 months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Considerable knowledge of modern psychiatric nursing theories, principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of electronic health records, computerized department program software, and database management systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations and stakeholders.
