Chief Program Officer

New Hampshire Housing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Program Officer to lead our efforts in promoting, financing, and supporting housing solutions for the people of New Hampshire. As a key member of our executive team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our organization and advancing our mission to provide affordable housing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of our housing programs, ensuring they align with our strategic goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to formulate specific housing program goals, financial objectives, and priorities.
  • Serve as a member of the executive management team and contribute to the development of a comprehensive strategic planning process.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key partners in program areas, including lenders, developers, legal counsel, underwriters, and critical vendors.
  • Lead and oversee outreach by program staff with partners, both traditional and non-traditional, and monitor results.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement across programs and work with senior leadership and support staff to implement innovations and improvements.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of and experience with housing programs/industry required.
  • Knowledge of and experience with state and federal legislative affairs preferred.
  • Expert ability to develop staff and communicate performance expectations clearly and consistently.
  • Education: eight to ten years relevant work experience, Master's Degree or Juris Doctorate in a related field preferred.
