As a School District Float Nurse with the Bedford, New Hampshire School District, you will provide substitute and additional coverage as needed in all schools serving pre-kindergarten through high school. This position will float among the schools on an established rotational schedule if/when substitute coverage is not requested/needed.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nurse coverage for individual students, field trips, or organized school activity days as requested.
- Minimize absence due to illness and create a climate of health and well-being in the district school.
- Orient and work 1:1 with students and for each health office.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
- RN license, CPR, and First Aid certification.
- NH Department of Education Certification eligible.
- 3 years of experience in pediatric nursing or other related nursing areas.
This position follows the school calendar and is required to work summers during extended school year programming. The float nurse will provide the fullest possible educational opportunity for each district student by minimizing absence due to illness and creating a climate of health and well-being in the district school.
