Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Position Summary: The Compliance Technician is accountable for executing specialized administrative support tasks associated with a substantial fleet of vehicles.
Essential Qualifications:
Educational Background:
A Bachelor's Degree or a comparable combination of education and professional experience; a degree in business, logistics, or a related discipline is preferred.
Professional Experience:
A minimum of two years in logistics management, transportation oversight, or a related field is required. Familiarity with state compliance initiatives concerning vehicle registration and license plates is advantageous. Experience with government vehicles and their regulatory frameworks is also preferred. A current government clearance is highly desirable.
Technical Proficiencies:
The candidate must possess the ability to:
- Manage requirements for state license plates through a computerized database.
- Track and process forms, and receive and post license plate numbers and decals upon their arrival.
- Collaborate with Vehicle Control Officers to ensure proper affixation of license plates and decals on vehicles, and that new registrations are placed within vehicles.
- Oversee the return of license plates for disposal and take necessary actions.
- Maintain database accuracy and ensure timely ordering of existing license plates to prevent expiration.
- Respond to customer inquiries via telephone.
- Review and process government driver's licenses in compliance with regulations.
- Handle updates and corrections for Vehicle Identification Link (VIL) Keys.
- Validate and process requests for fuel cards.
- Coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate vehicle recalls, warranty claims, and contract work; build and sustain relationships with local vendors to ensure efficient and cost-effective service.
- Analyze vehicle accidents and misuse; create and maintain database entries as directed by the Logistics Manager.
Note: The responsibilities outlined above are not exhaustive. The manager may assign additional tasks as necessary. Employees are expected to perform all assigned work in accordance with directives from Company supervision, provided the work falls within the reasonable scope of the position and can be safely executed.
Clearance Requirement: Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Top-Secret Security Clearance and access to designated work locations.

- Proficiency in personal computing and business software solutions; must have a solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
