Position Summary:
The Manager of the Continuing Care application team is responsible for leading the development and enhancement of the Electronic Medical Record system within the Catholic Health Home Care and Hospice division.
Working closely with leadership and staff in Home Care and Hospice, the Manager facilitates the team in creating and executing digital and technological initiatives that align with business objectives.
Additionally, the Manager oversees the daily operations of the team, ensuring effective task management, project completion, and prompt resolution of issues.Expertise in Epic Dorothy and Comfort applications, along with proficiency in various project management tools, is crucial for maintaining workflow and deliverables.
Essential Functions:Lead and participate in all phases of Epic Dorothy and Comfort systems implementation, including planning, building, testing, training, and production support.
Assist clients in identifying functional requirements and configuring systems to meet operational demands.
Stay informed on current trends and advancements in digital technology and the healthcare sector through seminars, conferences, and independent study.
Provide training to staff to achieve IT strategic and operational goals, ensuring appropriate career development opportunities, performance improvement counseling, and conducting annual evaluations.
Create a collaborative, professional work environment that attracts and retains talented DTS professionals.
Utilize various tools and applications, including Agile Methodology, Time Tracking, and Service Desk ticket systems, to document workload and events.
Demonstrate a commitment to customer service by delivering responsive support, fostering strong working relationships, and providing high-quality services that exceed customer expectations.
Actively participate in the DTS information security awareness program, adhering to and promoting all Catholic Health information security policies and procedures.
A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or a minimum of 5 years of EPIC IT experience.
Experience or knowledge in the Continuing Care sector is advantageous; a clinical degree with at least 5 years in a progressive clinical role is preferred.
Skills and Experience:
Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
A collaborative mindset aimed at achieving common goals and objectives.
Strong clinical orientation with the ability to build effective working relationships with end-users.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, online communication platforms (Zoom, Teams, and Slack), ClickUp, and UKG/Kronos.
Basic project management skills, including leading meetings, prioritizing tasks, resolving conflicts, maintaining issue lists, and managing project plans.
Proven success in implementing clinical information solutions.
Creative, innovative, and adaptable in response to rapidly changing needs and priorities.
