Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Training Curriculum Development: Develop, schedule, and deliver training curriculum for instructor-led classes on product installation, business development, and product knowledge for internal and external audiences.
  • Product Support: Respond to homeowner, trade, and internal customer inquiries, ensuring training materials are readily available.
  • HouseWorkx Training Programs: Assist with the HouseWorkx training programs, including working on the truck for larger shows and assisting with the annual development of the design work.
  • Ply Gem VSI Certified Installer Classes: Plan, schedule, and conduct Ply Gem VSI Certified Installer classes.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with business associates to develop new products and installation instructions for new and existing products.
  • Online Training Programs: Support online training programs.
  • Brand Alignment: Work with all brands, sales, and marketing to drive traffic, education, and selling opportunities for continued growth and customer conversions.
  • Relationship Building: Develop relationships with contractors and installers, representing warranty policy and supporting Territory Sales Managers to build/grow sales.
  • Compliance: Comply with Company safety policy.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Organizational Development, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in a building materials sales or training role.
  • Skills: Learning Management System experience preferred, ability to develop and successfully present training programs, must become a VSI-certified trainer within the first year, excellent organizational and creative skills, high level of initiative, excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, excellent collaboration and team building skills, thorough knowledge of and skill in using the Microsoft suite of products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), knowledge of vinyl siding products and industry strongly preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, licensed driver, bi-lingual preferred (Spanish).
  • Travel: Position requires extensive travel up to 80% and may vary throughout the year.
