About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Hospital Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Incyte Diagnostics. As a key member of our pathology lab, you will play a vital role in supporting our pathologists and ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process specimens from surgery and other hospital departments
  • Enter patient and specimen information into our laboratory information system
  • Package specimens for courier shipments
  • Assist with procedures requiring slide preparations, such as rapid assessments or frozen sections
  • Perform light administrative duties as requested by the pathologist
  • Maintain pathology laboratory equipment and reagents
  • Filing of blocks and slides
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or bachelor's degree in laboratory science preferred
  • Competency with computers and MS Office programs
  • Ability to maintain accuracy, especially with numeric sequencing
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Adherence to HIPAA patient confidentiality standards
  • Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities
