The Operating Systems team is responsible for the information architecture of the entire Cash App product, a critical responsibility given our ever-expanding ambitions and ecosystems of products.

About the Role

As the Head of Product for the Operating Systems team, you will lead a team of incredible product leaders and be responsible for the team's vision, strategy, roadmap prioritization, and customer & business impact. You will drive high-impact initiatives from inception through execution, collaborating with some of the best designers and engineers in the industry to define a vision for how Cash App will redefine social banking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the vision, strategy, implementation, and customer & business outcomes
  • Lead and inspire a team (engineers, designers, researchers, data scientists, business operations) to ship innovative and incredible experiences at scale
  • Manage a team of seven+ product managers (four product leads + three reports of reports)
  • Deeply understand business and product performance to ensure we are focused on the highest impact opportunities that balance long-term growth with immediate business needs
  • Manage the roadmap and team processes to enhance execution velocity, making tactical tradeoffs between business priorities and resources
  • Drive effective partnership both cross-functionally and across abstractions & product teams, ensuring the team is effectively supporting the needs across the business
  • Define the framework and metrics to measure the impact of the team; deeply understand the core drivers and monitor progress

Requirements

  • 14+ years of product management experience with a strong familiarity of consumer-facing ecosystem products and a proven track record of delivering outstanding products at scale
  • Outstanding leadership skills; the ability to inspire team members and drive collaborative decision-making across geographically dispersed cross-functional teams
  • High degree of comfort with ambiguity, and a knack for quickly ramping on new skills and functions. You excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Exceptional prioritization and cross-functional stakeholder management, particularly influencing compliance/legal and external partners in a highly regulated industry
  • Excellent oral and written communication and narrative storytelling skills. You can frame and distill complex information appropriately for different audiences and are comfortable regularly presenting to and guiding Cash App's most senior leaders
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to distill and communicate complicated data to make decisions, determine roadmap prioritization, and understand and communicate customer and business impact
  • Exceptional team management and organizational skills. You've built and scaled cross-functional teams and processes
  • A hunger to tackle complicated and impactful customer and business problems
