Position Overview

The Financial Reporting Specialist is responsible for the preparation and dissemination of regular financial statements intended for stakeholders outside the organization. This role involves a variety of assignments that often necessitate analytical thinking and independent judgment to determine the best course of action.

Impact on Medicaid Expansion

As part of the Medicaid expansion initiative, the Financial Reporting Specialist will significantly contribute to the external reporting functions for various states. The assignments will range from moderately complex to challenging, encompassing data consolidation, preparation, reconciliation, and reporting submissions. This role will also involve data analysis to support both internal and external requirements for various data partners, utilizing tools such as SQL, Python, or other data processing technologies as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in financial reporting and/or data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the health insurance sector within Finance or Accounting.
  • Experience working with large datasets, including querying or consolidating results for reporting; familiarity with SQL or similar querying tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Additional Information

This position operates in a hybrid model, requiring in-office attendance a few days each week.
