Overview

Under the guidance of the Controller, we are seeking a proficient accounting professional with proven expertise in fundamental accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), and inventory assessment/audit. Experience in cost accounting and manufacturing is advantageous. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong analytical and communication abilities, along with demonstrated experience in ERP systems, particularly Microsoft AX. This role requires the capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively, engaging with engineers, operations, and sales teams.
The general accountant should possess a solid foundation in accounting principles acquired through education and practical experience.

Accounting Duties:

  • Support all aspects of corporate accounting, encompassing but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, fixed assets, depreciation, prepaids, and the closing cycle.
  • Prepare and reconcile journal entries.
  • Ensure timely processing of accounts payable and collaborate with vendors to resolve any billing issues.
  • Assist in addressing customer inquiries related to accounts receivable.
  • Participate in month-end closing activities and journal entry preparation.
  • Aid in the compilation of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements and annual reports.
  • Conduct inventory reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Analyze perpetual inventory locations for accuracy and valuation.
  • Engage in cycle counting programs, providing analysis and participation.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancements in internal processes and controls.
  • Contribute to inquiries from annual external audits.
  • Undertake ad hoc analyses and projects as required.

Required Skills

  • Proficient understanding of ERP manufacturing systems.
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills are essential.
  • Ability to interact effectively with colleagues from various departments and corporate staff.

Supervisory Role

This position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities.


Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • An advanced degree and/or relevant certification is a plus.
  • A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in Accounting or Finance.
