Overview

Under the guidance of the Controller, we are seeking a proficient accounting professional with a solid background in various accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), and inventory oversight. Experience in cost accounting and manufacturing processes is advantageous. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong analytical abilities and effective communication skills, along with demonstrated experience in ERP systems, particularly Microsoft AX. This role requires the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with engineers, operations, and sales teams.
The general accountant should possess the necessary accounting expertise acquired through both education and practical experience.


Key Responsibilities

Accounting Duties:

  • Support all aspects of corporate accounting, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, fixed assets, depreciation, prepaids, and the closing process.
  • Prepare and reconcile journal entries.
  • Ensure timely processing of accounts payable and address any vendor billing discrepancies.
  • Assist with customer inquiries related to accounts receivable.
  • Participate in month-end closing activities and journal entries.
  • Aid in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Conduct inventory reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Analyze perpetual inventory locations for accuracy and valuation.
  • Engage in cycle counting programs for analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancements in internal processes and controls.
  • Contribute to addressing inquiries from annual external audits.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and projects as required.

Required Skills

  • Proficient understanding of ERP manufacturing systems
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills are essential.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with members of other departments and corporate staff.

Supervisory Role

This position does not have any direct reports.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • An advanced degree and/or relevant certification is a plus.
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in Accounting or Finance.
