UPMC Presbyterian is seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our Inpatient Pharmacy team on a casual basis. This role will work every 3rd weekend rotation, providing an opportunity for a flexible and dynamic work schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Review and maintain patient medication records, identifying potential allergies, drug interactions, and therapeutic duplications.
- Interpret and evaluate physician orders to prepare and dispense medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Organize daily operational duties and supervise pharmacy technicians, aides, and student interns.
- Provide drug information and educational programs to healthcare professionals and pharmacy students.
- B.S. degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Ph.D.) from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- 3-6 months hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
- Previous experience with investigational drug control procedures and protocol design preferred.
Pharmacist licensure is required.
