Position Overview
We are looking for a seasoned and knowledgeable Senior Financial Accountant to become a part of our Finance division. This is a remarkable opportunity to contribute significantly within a thriving organization and collaborate closely with upper management. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in cost accounting, budget management, and ERP software systems. Familiarity with Epicor and Oracle is highly advantageous. A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in a comparable position is required.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Financial Accountant, your duties will include:
1. Overseeing and managing all facets of our accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
2. Developing and maintaining our operational budget, ensuring the financial outcomes align with our strategic objectives.
3. Applying your expertise in ERP systems to enhance our accounting procedures, increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
4. Utilizing your knowledge of cost accounting to deliver insightful analyses and reports on our cost frameworks, supporting profitability initiatives.
5. Collaborating with our IT department to optimize our use of Epicor and Oracle, ensuring we leverage these systems to improve our financial operations.
6. Compiling financial statements and reports for senior leadership, providing clear and concise information to facilitate informed decision-making.
7. Ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance requirements.
8. Assisting with both internal and external audits, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all financial data.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting capacity, ideally within the finance sector.
2. A robust background in cost accounting, with a proven track record of analyzing and reporting on cost structures.
3. Experience in preparing and managing operational budgets.
4. High proficiency in ERP systems, with specific experience in Epicor and Oracle being highly desirable.
5. Advanced skills in Excel, including the ability to utilize formulas, pivot tables, and other complex functions.
6. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to present financial data clearly and understandably.
8. Strong attention to detail, demonstrating a commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of your work.
9. The capability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines.
10. A proactive mindset, with the ability to identify potential challenges and implement effective solutions.
