Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Valor Healthcare's Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Kingston, New York.

About the Role

This full-time position is 32 hours per week, working four days a week. As an Advanced Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting thorough medical examinations, and developing personalized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Diagnose and treat patients under the direction of a supervising physician, conduct physical examinations, and order diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Clinical Documentation: Accurately document patient records within 24 hours of each encounter, ensuring timely and complete documentation.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the PACT Team, including primary care providers, RNs, and medical assistants, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Compliance: Maintain compliance with VA guidelines, regulations, and policies, adhering to strict quality standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and MSN degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program, including preceptorship.
  • Certification: Certified by applicable professional organizations and credentialed through the Veterans Health Administration (VA).
  • Licensure: Valid, unrestricted license in the state of employment or any U.S. state or territory, depending on VA contractual requirements.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of clinical experience as a CRNP in a related primary care or ambulatory care setting, with government healthcare experience preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $61,000 - $66,400 annually, paid bi-weekly.
