Hospice Home Care Medical Records Specialist

Our Hospice Home Care team is dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients and their families in Arkansas. As a Medical Records Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of medical data entry, facilitating the processing and delivery of edited documentation to client facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Enter medical data into our computer system to facilitate processing and delivery of edited documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records documents for each facility.
  • Research and resolve issues related to illegible or unfamiliar terminology on handwritten sheets.
  • Verify and clarify any problems or inquiries with facility documentation requests.
  • Communicate with facilities nursing staff, Director of Nursing, and Administrator regarding corrections of medical data.
  • Utilize reference materials to improve skills and maintain confidentiality of employee and patient information.
  • Run medical records forms and reports containing facility, patient, and pharmaceutical information.
  • Assist consultant pharmacists by obtaining facility data and informing them of department procedures.
  • Promote customer goodwill and enhance corporate image to support the corporate mission, values, and philosophy.
  • Conduct audits with facilities using computerized data and facility data.
  • Observe and comply with all PharMerica policies and procedures.
