Job Summary

The Information and Referral Specialist will be responsible for providing registration, information, linkages, and referrals to families seeking assistance with basic needs, mental health, case management, housing, and other essential services. This role also involves data entry, outreach, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Support: Respond to walk-ins, call-ins, emails, and referred clients seeking community resources, assessing their immediate needs, and providing appropriate resources and referrals.
  • Outreach and Community Engagement: Perform outreach to the community, businesses, and schools, representing Human Options at community events, and assisting with preparations for FRC events.
  • Data Entry and Record Keeping: Administer FaCT-approved measurement tools, enter results into the FaCT database, organize emergency assistance supplies, and maintain accurate records.
  • Administrative Support: Perform administrative duties, including answering phones, filing, data entry, record keeping, ordering supplies, and setting up office furniture.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience: High School diploma or commensurate work experience.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of domestic violence, child abuse, and elder abuse issues, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $22.50 - $24.50 per hour, based on location and industry standards. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
