About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Service Representative to join our team at Summit Health. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive and professional first impression.

  • Register patients, collect and verify demographic and insurance information, and update patient records accurately and efficiently.

  • Coordinate patient appointments, communicate with healthcare providers, and manage patient flow to ensure timely and efficient care.

  • Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide clear and concise information regarding our services and policies.

  • Process medical insurance information, verify patient eligibility, and address any patient questions or concerns regarding insurance.

  • Handle cash and co-payments accurately and responsibly, maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality.

  • Provide outstanding customer service to every patient, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

  • Inform site management of waiting room wait times, patient inquiries, and any other relevant information to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues.

  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, preferably in a healthcare or customer service setting.

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately and efficiently manage multiple tasks and priorities.

  • Computer proficiency and superior keyboarding skills, with the ability to navigate electronic medical records and other software systems.

  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a continuously evolving environment and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.

  • Passion for delivering exceptional patient care and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of customer service and professionalism.

  • Bilingual language skills are required or preferred, depending on the site location.
