Position Overview:

The Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity team is responsible for implementing and overseeing the necessary measures to safeguard Entergy's essential systems and assets. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with the North American Electric Reliability Corporation's Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC CIP) standards. Candidates should possess substantial operational experience in information technology, operational technology, and cybersecurity, with a preference for backgrounds in electrical power, professional auditing, and risk-based compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that OT cyber assets comply with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Oversee security and compliance for OT environments in accordance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage configuration baselines and monitoring processes.
  • Maintain electronic security perimeters and asset inventories.
  • Facilitate the commissioning of new assets, including substations and control centers.
  • Implement security monitoring, logging, and alerting protocols.
  • Conduct malware prevention and vulnerability management.
  • Perform daily reconciliations of configuration changes to identify unauthorized deviations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on cybersecurity logging failures.
  • Maintain accurate cyber asset inventory information.
  • Support change management initiatives and participate in disaster recovery planning.
  • Engage in departmental projects such as vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Actively participate in audit preparations and interviews as required.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including automation and tool configuration.
  • Assist in the deployment of new hardware and software enhancements.
  • Contribute to the expansion of services as directed by leadership.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Cybersecurity certification preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CRISC).

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, including 2+ years in data collection and analysis.
  • 2+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, with a focus on NERC CIP and security controls.
  • Experience in OT environments is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
