Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director of Behavioral Health Services to join our team at Samuel Contract Staffing. In this role, you will oversee the overall direction and coordination of behavioral health services, ensuring high-quality care for patients.

About the Role:

The Medical Director of Behavioral Health Services will be responsible for leading a team of healthcare professionals in providing evidence-based treatment programs, conducting medical and behavioral assessments, and developing individualized treatment plans. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communicate effectively with patients, families, and referral sources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the behavioral health team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous quality improvement.
  • Treatment Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, ensuring patient-centered care and achieving optimal outcomes.
  • Clinical Oversight: Conduct regular clinical reviews, provide supervision and coaching to staff, and ensure adherence to established protocols and standards.
  • Quality Improvement: Develop and implement strategies to improve quality metrics, reduce readmissions, and enhance patient satisfaction.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, community partners, and external agencies to ensure effective care coordination and referrals.
Requirements:
  • Education: Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Experience: Three years of post-graduate experience in mental health settings, including substance abuse treatment, with a minimum of two years as a counseling supervisor.
  • Licensure/Certification: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; ability to motivate and coach individuals and groups; strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, short-term disability, life insurance, AFLAC, pet insurance, and student loan forgiveness programs. Estimated travel is up to 20% of the time for training and development.
