Position Overview

Urbanex, a premier provider in the pest management sector, is seeking a detail-oriented and seasoned Senior Financial Accountant with a solid foundation in accrual accounting. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Key Responsibilities:
  • Accrual Accounting: Ensure precise recording of revenues and expenses in accordance with GAAP standards.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Account Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies to uphold the integrity of financial data.
  • Month-End Close: Collaborate with the team during month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the controller and finance team members to support overall financial management and strategic planning.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and analysis to aid strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA or equivalent certification is advantageous.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on accrual accounting. Experience in the pest control or related service industry is beneficial.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop/Enterprise and Microsoft Excel.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of interpreting complex financial data and providing actionable insights.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across departments to achieve common objectives.
