Job Description

Job Title: Construction Management Instructor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified Construction Management Instructor to join our team at Laredo College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the Construction Management program, as well as contributing to the development of curriculum and instructional materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Mentoring: Teach courses in Construction Management, including construction methods, materials, and techniques, as well as construction law and safety.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of curriculum and instructional materials for the Construction Management program.
  • Student Assessment and Evaluation: Assess and evaluate student learning outcomes and provide feedback to students.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with industry developments and best practices in Construction Management and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and mentoring skills.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders to develop and implement program goals and objectives, and communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
  • Experience: Five (5) years of field work experience with demonstrated competencies in construction management or related field.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to provide service to a diverse population, ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students, ability to contribute to instructional vitality and growth, knowledge of student outcomes assessment and institutional effectiveness, and cooperative team player.

Working Conditions: The position requires physical presence on campus and the ability to work in a standard office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
