Job Title: Construction Management Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified Construction Management Instructor to join our team at Laredo College, TX. As a Construction Management Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching courses in Construction Management and providing instruction and monitoring teaching/learning effectiveness.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide classroom instruction in specific area of Construction Management.
  • Prepare and distribute departmental syllabus which informs students in writing about course requirements.
  • Inform students of their progress by promptly returning assignments, quizzes, and examinations.
  • Compile, administer, and grade instruments that evaluate student progress.
  • Counsel students and notify student or counselors of frequent absences, failures, or necessary make-up work.
  • Meet all assigned face-to-face classes on time in the assigned classrooms.
  • Be available virtually at a designated time for each online course taught.
  • Use Canvas as the LMS and grade book.
  • Follow procedures related to the Office of the Register.
  • Follow the academic calendar and procedures as outlined in the Faculty Procedures Manual.
  • Direct library research or other outside assignments.
  • Promote College programs and curricula.
  • Update syllabi at least every two years or when necessary.
  • Substitute for colleagues when necessary.
  • Cooperate in evaluation procedures.
  • Provide a safe environment for students and be responsible for the security of assigned equipment, materials, and classrooms.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certificate of completion in Construction Management or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years field experience in the specific course content.
