We are seeking an intern to join our National Municipal Finance team, where you will gain valuable experience in the intersection of finance and public service.

If you are passionate about municipal finance, banking, or accounting related to governmental entities, this role is designed for you. We are looking for individuals with an innovative mindset who can navigate the complexities of finance while adhering to established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the acquisition of municipal bonds, loans, and leases from governmental issuers.
  • Provide educational support to municipalities regarding our range of financial products and services.
  • Identify and pursue financing opportunities through direct outreach to governmental entities and related stakeholders.
  • Analyze legal documents pertinent to financing agreements.
  • Support the growth of client relationships and referral networks.
  • Develop a wide-ranging network of contacts within the public finance sector.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A Master of Public Administration is highly desirable.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Interest in municipal finance and familiarity with federal tax regulations affecting this sector.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new finance-related software as required.
