Job Title: Lead Driver

About the Role:
First Student is seeking a Lead Driver to join our team in Elk Point, South Dakota. As a Lead Driver, you will be responsible for supervising teams in safe and effective transportation procedures, ensuring compliance with law, customer policy, and company goals. You will provide effective leadership and foster professional attitudes in employees, develop and conduct training classes, and maintain documents and submit payroll in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise teams in safe and effective transportation procedures
  • Provide effective leadership and foster professional attitudes in employees
  • Develop and conduct training classes
  • Maintain documents and submit payroll in a timely manner
  • Maintain documents and submit invoices to Location Manager for customer invoicing

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge and experience working with computers and programs
  • Must be able to pass a DOT Physical and maintain a fitness for duty physical
  • An excellent driving record in compliance with Company standards
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication
  • Ability to interact with passengers, customers, and employees in a positive and proper manner
