Job Title: Lead Driver

About the Role:
As a Lead Driver at First Student, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe transportation of students and passengers. You will supervise teams in adhering to safety protocols, provide effective leadership, and foster a professional work environment. Your expertise will be utilized to develop and conduct training classes, report accidents, and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise teams in safe transportation procedures and ensure compliance with laws, customer policies, and company goals.
  • Provide leadership and promote professional attitudes among employees.
  • Develop and conduct training classes to ensure fully qualified crews.
  • Report accidents and notify maintenance of mechanical failures.
  • Maintain accurate records and submit payroll and invoices in a timely manner.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and experience working with computers and software.
  • Ability to pass a DOT Physical and maintain a fitness for duty physical.
  • Excellent driving record and proficiency in verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to interact with passengers, customers, and employees in a positive and professional manner.
