Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at TGH Urgent Care powered by Fast Track. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care under the direct supervision of our providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient care tasks and procedures, including preparing patients for exams and recording medical history.
  • Assist providers with patients, including explaining exam processes and maintaining examination rooms.
  • Undertake front office and clerical duties, such as verifying patient demographics and performing billing functions.
  • Assist with special procedures, including minor surgery, as requested by providers.
  • Update medical records and charts in accordance with organizational procedures.
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality and medical ethics.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate empathetic and superior communication skills.
  • Exhibit outstanding customer service and patient care.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Follow established office routines and policies.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA guidelines.

Work Environment:

  • This job operates in a professional medical environment.
  • Onsite position with frequent use of technology platforms and computer work.
  • Ability to move supplies and office equipment (up to 20 pounds).

Work Schedule and Travel:

  • Typical work schedule: 40-hour work week with 3 x 12-hour shifts and 1 x 6-hour shift.
  • Every other weekend required.
  • Overtime hour availability based on patient volume and clinic needs.
  • Regional staffing requires travel within the region, with occasional travel outside the region.
