Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at VitalSkin Dermatology. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient experience and administrative support in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide superior patient experience and customer service
  • Process prior authorizations and schedule patient appointments
  • Verify appointment information and register new patients
  • Assist patients with completing necessary forms and consents
  • Obtain and verify current insurance information and other financial data
  • Request and record co-payments, co-insurance, and other payments
  • Update patient demographic data in our practice management system
  • Schedule and re-schedule return appointments according to guidelines
Requirements

We are looking for a well-rounded customer service professional with extensive administrative office experience. You should be a detail-oriented, proactive, and initiative-taking individual with a passion for healthcare.

Key qualifications include:

  • At least two years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with third-party payer systems, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of computer applications, including word processing, medical office management, and spreadsheet software
