Job Summary:

Volt is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Riverside, CA. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing Accounts Payable and Receivable, maintaining and reconciling fixed asset schedules, and preparing and processing 1099 forms. Additionally, you will prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close, prepare and reconcile Balance Sheet accounts, and analyze manufacturing, inventory, and overhead data for decision-making. You will also work with departments to gather cost data and forecast expenses, monitor budget variances, and recommend corrective actions. Furthermore, you will develop and implement cost allocation methods, maintain and improve costing systems, and monitor inventory levels. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity that requires a strong understanding of A/R, A/P, and Cost Accounting, as well as 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance and 3 years of supervisory experience. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and a strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules
  • Prepare and process 1099 forms

  • Prepare and reconcile Balance Sheet accounts

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance
  • 3 years of supervisory experience

  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and procedures

Salary and Benefits:
$65,000 - $75,000/year
