Job Title: Mechanic

At StandardAero, we are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will play a critical role in the repair and overhaul of gas turbine engine components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate various hand tools to perform operations such as blending, chasing threads, deburring, angle checking, coldworking metals, masking, and braze application.
  • Fits and assembles machined metal parts and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools.
  • Complete check-in process, reviewing documentation and identifying the status of the engine component.
  • De-stack/disassemble engine components and/or accessories, record and take measurements, and document with pictures as required.
  • Prepare parts for cleaning and repair, clean parts as required, balance as needed, and inspect parts to determine if they can be repaired or replaced.
  • Route repairable parts to the appropriate area, place orders for required parts, and ensure all necessary parts are available for assembly.
  • Assemble engine components and/or assemblies, and perform final release process, checking the product for compliance.
Requirements:
  • Mechanical and/or aviation experience/aptitude preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints.
  • Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
