Job Opportunity: Director of Agricultural Programs

We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable professional to lead the Agricultural Programs at our esteemed institution. This pivotal role involves overseeing various initiatives, attracting students, delivering educational courses, and fostering collaborations with local agricultural enterprises to enhance our agricultural education offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with the Admissions Office, Academic Leaders, and faculty to attract students to our agricultural programs.
  • Engage with local high school agricultural organizations such as Future Farmers of America and 4H to build connections.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Department to effectively promote the agricultural programs.
  • Partner with Deans and faculty across disciplines to enrich academic offerings with an agricultural perspective.
  • Deliver courses within the Agricultural Programs.
  • Assist in fundraising activities for the Agricultural Programs.
  • Establish relationships with agricultural businesses and financial institutions for student internships and collaborative projects.
  • Represent the institution at relevant regional conferences and workshops.
  • Work with community colleges to develop articulation agreements.
  • Support the recruitment and hiring of faculty for the Agricultural Programs.
  • Coordinate with local farmers to provide practical learning experiences for students.
  • Be adaptable to flexible working hours and travel as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A master's degree in agricultural business, education, or a related field is required.
  • Experience in the agricultural sector is highly desirable.
