POSITION DESCRIPTION

The primary responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:
  • Deliver project management services in alignment with DOE O413.3B, Program and Project Management for the Acquisition of Capital Assets, alongside relevant regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Implement project management services following Sandia National Laboratories' project management policies, procedures, and methodologies.
  • Assist Integrated Project Teams in securing necessary Critical Decisions (CDs), successfully navigating both internal and external reviews.
  • Identify, develop, and formalize essential project management documentation (e.g., Project Charter, Project Execution Plan, Roles and Responsibilities, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), integrated master schedule, etc.).
  • Coordinate the project team, including project assurance leads, QA/Risk leads, engineering, environment, safety, and health (ES&H), security, and other stakeholders.
  • Create an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) that reflects the proposed WBS, acquisition strategy, and anticipated Earned Value Management System (EVMS) practices and reporting, utilizing Primavera P6 and Cobra for scheduling and financial oversight.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and leadership to Sandia resources.
  • Establish and monitor (document, etc.) the technical scope, cost, schedule, and risk baselines, reporting project status to the DOE/NNSA, Sandia, and other stakeholders in accordance with DOE 413.3 requirements.
  • Implement configuration control systems, safety systems, Quality Assessments / Quality Control (QA/QC) systems, etc., for the project that can transition to support operations and maintenance.
  • Facilitate Earned Value Management deployment and project tracking.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Program Management with 10 years of directly related experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven experience with project management services in accordance with DOE O413.3B.
  • Experience in managing programs, projects, contracts, funds, and resources.
  • Ability to conduct complex evaluations of existing procedures, processes, techniques, models, and/or systems related to management challenges or contractual issues.
  • Supervise and direct staff on a daily basis.
  • Responsibilities may include contract management, relevant project management, and customer interface.
  • Capability to work onsite in a diverse work environment.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment screening, including a background check and drug screening.
  • Commitment to uphold and promote L&A core values.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior experience on DOE sites and programs.
  • Active Q Clearance preferred or ability to obtain.
LOCATION

Onsite in Albuquerque, New Mexico

DURATION AND WORK HOURS EXPECTED

This project is anticipated to continue with the possibility of extension. The expectation is to work up to 30 hours per week.
