Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Clinical Advancement Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate patient care and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare team members.
  • Assess patient needs and provide education to patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and health promotion.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and effective communication among healthcare team members.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to other nursing staff members and contribute to the development of nursing education programs.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in New Mexico or eligibility for licensure by reciprocal agreement.
  • 1 year of direct experience in a healthcare setting.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Bilingual English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo.

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with occasional exposure to minor hazards such as physical risks, dirt, dust, fumes, and noise.
