The Technical Sales Consultant plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between customer needs and engineering solutions at Perfecto Tool & Engineering Co Inc. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring customer satisfaction and project success.
Key Responsibilities:- Quote Generation: Prepare detailed written proposals for tailored Design and Build initiatives, collaborating closely with Engineering, Operations, and the Client.
- Customer Engagement: Develop a comprehensive understanding of client specifications and collaborate with internal teams to devise automation solutions that meet those needs.
- Project Management: Oversee the lifecycle of design and build projects, from the initial quote and customer purchase order to project approval, design, construction, and final installation/start-up.
- Timeline Coordination: Establish project timelines and schedules, leading all client review meetings to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Communication Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between the client and Perfecto's Engineering and Fabrication teams throughout the project duration.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate, maintain, and enhance customer relationships to foster long-term partnerships.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with the Sales Team, Engineering, and Operations to identify and implement more effective and efficient operational processes.
- Technical Knowledge: Stay informed about Perfecto's production capabilities and capacity to provide informed solutions.
- Lead Generation: Work with the Sales Team to identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
- Travel Requirements: This role may require occasional travel (0-25%).
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in Sales or Engineering within the automation systems sector.
- Preferred Background: Experience in designing factory automation systems is highly desirable.
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Project Management Skills: Proven experience in project management is essential.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to maintaining and enhancing technical knowledge through ongoing education and training.
