Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lab Customer Service Representative to join our team at Texas Health Care. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, patients, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison between clinics and laboratory, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Provide in-service training to offices and clinics on Laboratory Information Systems, test orders, requisitions, and specimen labels.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Assist the Client Service Manager, Lab Director, and billing staff with billing and collection issues.
  • Attend clinic staff meetings to address laboratory-related concerns.
  • Respond to phone inquiries and troubleshoot problems with specimens, orders, and general complaints from offices and clinics.
  • Review pending and problem logs daily to resolve issues related to processing, phlebotomy, or reference lab work.
  • Deliver supplies to offices and clinics as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in the healthcare field, preferably in a laboratory environment.
  • Customer service experience is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented with high-level attention to detail.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
