Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior Behavioral Health Clinician to join our team at VNS Health. As a key member of our Behavioral Health team, you will provide high-quality, client-centered care to individuals and families in need.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Utilizing approved assessments to identify clients' needs and developing initial and ongoing clinical plans of care.
  • Providing supportive counseling and ongoing mental health services to clients.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care coordination.
  • Developing and maintaining a network of community-based resources to support clients' needs.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in mental health work, providing direct services to clients with Serious Mental Illness (SMI), developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, and/or chronic medical conditions.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Licensure and current registration to practice as a Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker, or related license in New York State.
