Job Summary

The Walsh Group is seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager to join our team in Louisville, KY. As a key member of our Healthcare Division, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective site-specific EHS plans, ensuring compliance with corporate, divisional, and regional EHS programs and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement site-specific EHS plans, ensuring compliance with corporate, divisional, and regional EHS programs and processes.
  • Assist Project Managers and EHS Managers/Specialists in coordinating subcontractor EHS protocols, including vendors and owner personnel working on company projects.
  • Coordinate quarterly comprehensive on-site EHS audits, inspecting and evaluating project sites, equipment, and processes for compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct accident investigations and complete incident reporting for Project Management review.
  • Accompany injured employees to treatment and medical evaluation, ensuring all EHS protocols are followed.
  • Advise Project Management on Industrial Hygiene protocols, perform Environmental Monitoring, and manage Company's Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
  • Provide training and education to Company personnel regarding EHS requirements, including coordination of new hire EHS orientation programs.
  • Administer the corporate SPAT process on assigned projects and complete a weekly EHS update for EHS Leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management or equivalent.
  • CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) Certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction EHS field.
  • Excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to prioritize, organize, and manage time.
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards, as well as hazard recognition and injury management skills.
  • Some travel required.
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, and/or climb stairs or ladders.
